Child Care
Ravenswood School for Girls is the only school on Sydney’s Upper North Shore to offer students a choice between the HSC and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). From Kindergarten to Year 6, the IBPYP provides a rigorous framework that values and promotes inquiry, collaboration, and student agency. Our pre-kindergarten, Ravenswood Prep, offers an innovative curriculum combining the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), Reggio Emilia and Ravenswood’s Positive Education approach.
As a non-selective school, we accept girls of all talents, abilities, faiths and cultures. The uniqueness of our School comes from our personalised approach and our concern with developing the whole person through academic, social, emotional and spiritual growth.
Ravenswood is proud to have been named a 5-Star Innovative School by The Educator magazine seven times in eight years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025), as well as being named one of The Educator’s inaugural 5-Star Best Schools in 2025. These accolades recognise our groundbreaking innovations in the areas of Positive Education and STEM. Ravenswood garnered an Excellence Award in The Educator’s Australian Education Awards for Best Student Wellbeing Program in 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025. Ravenswood also won Excellence Awards at the 2022, 2024 and 2025 Australian Education Awards for Boarding School of the Year, and an Excellence Award for Best Professional Learning Program in 2025.
Hi, my name is Linda, and together with my husband and our three children, we’ve recently opened Storybrooke Education here in Brookvale.
I’ve spent many years working in education in different ways, from primary classrooms to literacy, international education and even working with people more broadly, but no matter where I’ve been, I’ve always found myself drawn back to the early years. There’s just something really special about that stage, when children are learning who they are, finding their confidence, and starting their journey.
Storybrooke was created from that feeling. I wanted to build a place that feels calm, gentle and welcoming, somewhere children feel safe, supported and genuinely happy to be.
We’re a small, family-run centre, which means we’re able to take the time to really get to know each child and family. Our approach is play-based, with a focus on building strong foundations through everyday moments, whether that’s communication, confidence, fine motor skills or simply learning how to be part of a group.
We are currently welcoming families and would love to invite you in for a tour to see the space and meet us.
