Family owned and run preschool and long day care in Warriewood and Collaroy Plateau.
We are passionate about seeing every child, parent, family member and staff member growing and thriving at the Owl and the Pussycat Preschool.
We believe that play should be the vehicle for learning in the early years (and beyond!) and have so much fun creating experiences and providing environments where children can explore, experiment, discover, and experience the joy of developing new skills and understanding.
We focus on getting to know each child, and building our activities around their interests.
We use Funky Phonics, which is a play-based phonics program to give children a firm foundation in sounds and letter identification, shown to be of huge importance for when they learn to read.
We place a high value on emotional and social intelligence, and are very proud of our School Readiness program.
We work with each family to develop goals for your child, and regularly communicate with you regarding your child's progress.
We are open 6.30am - 6.30pm (Warriewood) and 7.30am - 6pm (Collaroy).
We provide all meals for your child, freshly cooked onsite.
We are passionate about supporting families to engage in a healthy way, and have run subsidised parenting courses such as "Circle of Security".
We have also produced a number of quality play-based videos to help you extend upon your child's interests (and have fun!) at home. This is available on our website, as well as Vimeo:

Hi my name is Millie
I run a FDC in Beacon Hill. I am registered with Chasing Rainbows Family Day Care Scheme. **Childcare rebates available**
While ensuring that we are guided by the National Quality Standards – Early Learning Framework, my program is created around the children’s interests and their specific needs as it is important to me that each child feels as though their individual needs and interests are met.
I incorporate both structured play and free play where both styles of learning are derived from the child’s individual needs and interests to create a safe, happy and fun, learning environment.
I am open Monday - Friday - 7:30am-5:30pm. I provide all meals, wipes and nappies too!
I would love to offer you a tour of my space if you are interested in care. Please feel free to contact me

Our curriculum is designed to enhance the personal, social, cognitive, physical and spiritual wellbeing of each child. Our children engage in creative arts, literacy, mathematics and science, and lots and lots of play. The children absolutely love our ‘Bush Kinder’ program – where we walk to a local bush site to play, visit Aboriginal sites and learn about the area and how to care for it. Plus we also learn French!
