St Luke’s Grammar School Welcomes a New Principal

The baton has been passed, and St Luke’s Grammar School is excited to welcome new Principal, Mr Geoff Lancaster, to the school.

Mr Lancaster, a future-focused and innovative educator, is the 3rd Principal of St Luke?s. His appointment follows the retirement of Mrs Jann Robinson, whose 15 years of distinguished leadership has seen the School develop a thriving learning culture, with outstanding academic results and a steadfast commitment to the welfare and character development of students.

In this next phase of St Luke?s history, Mr Lancaster is looking forward to building upon this wonderful foundation to ensure the students of St Luke?s continue to pursue excellence and are well prepared for their exciting future in a changing world. With a strong focus on evidence based teaching and learning, and a passion for technology and innovation, Mr Lancaster believes the future is bright for the students at St Luke?s.

As an exceptional Christian leader, Mr Lancaster understands the need to educate the whole child and build skills and abilities beyond the regular classroom, through Sport, Creative and Performing Arts and other co-curricular endeavours. He believes that the heart of education is education of the heart, and has a vision that the graduates of St Luke?s will stand up for justice and be influencers and thoughtful contributors in their local and global communities. He is looking forward to building relationships with students, parents and staff to ensure St Luke?s continues to be a place where students love to come to school each day.

St Luke?s is poised for continued success, with the brand new Junior School Building at Dee Why now open for learning. This multi-storey building contains many wonderful purpose-built learning spaces, fostering both collaborative and independent learning and will be an inspiring environment where students can flourish.

In addition, a new Senior School building refurbishment has commenced, which will see the installation of new Food Technology and Science labs ready for 2021. In 2020 new Senior electives have also been added to the expansive curriculum, including Photographic and Digital Media, and Marine and Aquaculture Studies, as well as new co curricular activities including Photography, App Design and Cheerleading.

We congratulate Mr Lancaster on his appointment as Principal of St Luke?s Grammar School and look forward to this next exciting phase in the history of the School.
