International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women Memorial
The 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence is an international campaign that commences on 25 November with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and ends on 10 December, Human Rights Day.
To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and first day of the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, the Northern Beaches Domestic Violence Network along with Northern Beaches Council will be hosting a memorial service.
This memorial, will honour the memory of those have lost to domestic and family violence and stand with victim survivors and their families who are still experiencing the impact of gendered violence.
They encourage people to wear orange as the official colour of the campaign.
