Business Night on Northern Beaches Mums

WHO CAN POST?

All members may post during this time, but only those members who have a business directory listing on the Northern Beaches Mums website can advertise their business.

I HAVE A BUSINESS DIRECTORY LISTING BUT I AM NOT A MEMBER OF THE GROUP. CAN I JOIN?

Absolutely. We would love you to join. Simple head to the Facebook group and click “join”. Please note, you cannot join using a business profile, only a personal profile. You will be provided with a link to the group’s rules when you join, please note it is your responsibility to adhere to these rules. Any member who breaks the rules may be removed, including advertisers.

HOW TO POST DURING BUSINESS NIGHT?

  1. Head to our Facebook Group (you must be a member).
  2. Go to ‘write something’ and write the text for your post including the relevant contact details and links. Please ensure you mention your business name.
  3. Click ‘photo/video’ and upload images or a video.
  4. Click ‘post’.
  5. You will be notified that the post is pending and then you will be notified when the post has been approved (and posted).

Please no “going live”. These will be removed.

Notes:

  • You can send through the post from 5pm but it will only be approved at 7pm.
  • If you want to post earlier than 5pm, please get in touch so we are aware and do not decline the post.
  • If you edit the post outside of business night hours, the post may be removed. This is because the post then needs to be sent to admin for approval, and will be posted as a new post. If it is amended outside of business night hours, and the post is approved, it would be posted outside of business night hours.

I HAVE A BUSINESS DIRECTORY LISTING BUT I AM MALE. CAN I POST?

We don’t allow men to join our group so if you have a business directory listing and want to make the most of it with regular posts during business night you need to enlist the assistance of a female friend/family member/colleague to post on your behalf. We also offer a ‘social proxy’ service which is $260 plus GST for us to post for you for 26 weeks. Email info@northernbeachesmums.com.au if you want to find out more.

ARE THERE ANY RULES AROUND WHAT I CAN POST?

Essentially, your business post is yours to post as you wish but we do have a few rules:

  • No bumping of posts at any time, including during Business Night, unless you’re replying to a direct question from someone.
  • You must post a new post every week so that it can go through the approval process during business night.
  • Do not ask anyone to comment on the post to bump it.
  • Do not personal message members who have not asked to be messaged.

I CAN’T GET ONLINE BETWEEN 7PM AND 9PM TO POST. CAN I POST EARLIER OR LATER?

Business night posts will only be approved between 7pm and 9pm. You can send your Business Night postings earlier in the day, and they will be admitted from 7 pm onwards. Late submissions will not be accepted after 9 pm for NBMums FB Group and 8 pm for NB Business Mums FB Group, respectively.

HOW CAN I GET A BUSINESS DIRECTORY LISTING SO I CAN POST DURING BUSINESS NIGHT?

FOR OUR VALUED BUSINESS ADVERTISERS:

Fun interactions are fine! Comments like “Amazing!”, “Love this!”, emojis, or tagging friends are totally okay, as long as they come from real, interested people and not just the poster repeatedly boosting their own post.

Encourage genuine engagement by inviting happy clients to leave a quick comment about how your product or service helped them.

All recommendations must be genuine. If someone has a personal connection to the business (e.g. family member or friend), they must disclose that when commenting or recommending.
