A makeup artist shares her current favourite products

Each week, brands launch sparkly new ranges and we are fortunate enough to have a multitude of growing choices of amazing skincare and beauty products to choose from.

This edit lists my most beloved and favourite products that I?ve tried and tested and keep reaching for.

Starting with skin preparation, sun protection is very important and will help to prevent skin damage. The Ultra Violette Queen Screen SPF 50+ Luminising Sun Serum is my go-to and I use this as my first step after cleansing and before makeup

Another skin prep product I discovered recently that I love is Vitamin Enriched Face Base by Bobbi Brown. The scent is heaven – smells of grapefruit and geranium and is the perfect combination moisturizer and primer in one.

Dior is known for their outstanding beauty offerings, and last year they released my favourite foundation product. Backstage Face and Body is the perfect serum like foundation and the Backstage Eyeshadow palette in Amber Neutrals is a stunning eyeshadow palette that includes a bonus eye primer. A combination of mattes and neutrals means you can create day and night time looks very easily.

My other go-to eyeshadow palette has been the Charlotte Tilbury quad in Pillow Talk. This cult range is iconic for good reason – beautiful universal colours that are easy to apply and last forever.

Another  favourite from Charlotte Tilbury was the Glowing, Pretty Palette kit.  I?m a huge fan of multi product kits. They save time in the morning when you have everything you need in the palm of your hand – pro tip – I  also use the blushes and bronzer as eyeshadows.

Speaking of blushes – the NARS Free Lover Cheek Palette is a collection of beautiful, sheer but pigmented blushes and it’s limited edition.

Last year I also discovered the beauty of Natasha Denona – a range designed by a makeup artist and she’s known for her products that give major glow – I can see why they’re rated highly on the Sephora website.

Honorable mentions:

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder: cult favourite that never looks cakey.

NARS Creamy Concealer: awesome coverage with a hint of luminosity and staying power.

Juno Microfibre Sponge: great shape and can into those hard to reach places with its unique shape.

Huda Beauty Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream: clever combination of a shadow and warmth for a luminous, matte glow.

Marc Jacobs lipgloss: never sticky, just the right amount of sparkle.

Brow Styler Multitasking Pencil & Powder For Brows: pencil and powder in one

Tom Ford Cream And Powder Eye Color: perfect base colour … my favourite – Golden Peach” … rose gold perfection.

Nude Sticks Magnetic Luminous Eyeliner in Immortal: exactly what it says – glides on easy and looks incredible.

Flower Beauty Longwear Eyeliner in Brownstone: affordable eyeliner that compares to the more spendy ones.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil: excellent as an overnight treatment or for a little extra prep before a long-wear lip.

REPHR Brushes: well priced Kumano brushes, handmade in Japan by master artisans.

Pat McGrath Lip Balm in Gold Astral: coats lips in a dewy opaline finish while restoring softness and serving major hydration.

What are your favourite products you discovered recently – I’d love to know?
