Would you like to ask your MP, Dr. Sophie Scamps a question?
If so, join us for a community Q&A on Sunday 28 July in Mona Vale.
Former GP, Dr. Sophie Scamps is now more than two years into her term as the first elected independent MP in Mackellar’s history. She will be in conversation with veteran journalist and Mackellar local, Jeff McMullen (think TV’s 60 Minutes) at the Mackellar Q&A being held in Mona Vale from 2pm on Sunday 28 July.
What question would you like to ask Dr. Scamps?
- How are you addressing the big issues affecting our community?
- Given your background as a GP, what are you doing about women’s health now you’re in parliament?
- What difference, if any, has it made having an independent MP in this electorate?
- Or maybe something else?
This is a free event but registration is essential.

Can’t get to the Q&A with Dr. Sophie Scamps on 28 July? We still want to hear from you! Submit your question here.
The Q&A is hosted by Voices of Mackellar – a local non-partisan group whose aims are to enable voices in our community to be heard and to encourage the highest standards from our political representatives.
The event will be held at the Mona Vale Performance Space, arguably Mona Vale’s (if not the Northern Beaches) best kept secret! This impressive new facility is located in the grounds of Mona Vale Public School and operated by Northern Beaches council outside school hours. Note that the entrance is on Bungan St (near the corner of Mona Vale Rd).
We hope you can make it to the Q&A with Dr. Sophie Scamps and can stay on for a chat and some light refreshments from 3:30pm. It should be a fascinating Sunday afternoon!
