As parents, we try everything to keep our children safe and happy. But too often, we’re left feeling helpless, especially when faced with rising rates of bullying, mental health challenges, and the unthinkable tragedy of youth suicide.
But what if there was something we could do- something simple, beautiful, and proven to make a difference?
That’s the magic of ‘b kinder day’.
‘b kinder day’ is a national movement dedicated to creating a culture of kindness in schools. It’s more than just a day, it’s a powerful opportunity for students to reflect, connect, and act with kindness and empathy. On this day, students write in our special b kinder day cards with small handwritten notes of kindness sent to anyone in the world, from classmates and teachers to community members and aged care residents.
These cards spark real emotional connection. They shift the focus from screen time to human time and they open the door for conversations that could change, or even save, a life.

So far, over 132,000 b Kinder cards have been sent by children across Australia, and the impact has been profound. Classrooms become more compassionate. Bullying behaviours decrease. And children begin to understand that their words matter.
This isn’t just a feel-good initiative. It’s grounded in real resources and emotional education developed by the ‘b kinder foundation’. Teachers are supported, classrooms are empowered, and students walk away feeling more connected — to each other, to their community, and to themselves.
