My 18 month old daughter has been walking since 2 weeks before her first birthday, but her feet have only just gotten big enough for proper shoes. As she is in daycare and always so busy walking and running around, I thought it was about time to get her some proper shoes.
Shoes & Sox at Warringah Mall provided a great experience from the time we walked into the store, to the time we walked out of the store. We were greeted by the store manager Jenny, who asked lots of questions around what I was looking for and provided lots of answers and suggestions. My daughter was very excited to be getting her feet measured as this was a new experience for her. Once we knew what size shoe she would require, Jenny showed us all the shoes that could be suitable for her.
Shoes & Sox definitely have a good range of sandals and trainers for toddlers and older kids. We decided to try a pair of sandals and trainers as either of these would be suitable for daycare as well as everyday.
As my daughter is not a fan of sandals, and she didn?t want to walk in them, and I loved the fact that Jenny got out the bubbles for her – at least she stopped crying and walked a few steps. But as soon as we got the trainers on her she was a very happy girl!
To my surprise, they took a photo of her in her new shoes and stuck it on a magnet, where we could add the date and size of shoe we got for her on the day to keep as a memory of the experience. I loved this!!
