From the team behind 2022’s mesmerising Prima Facie comes, Inter Alia a harrowing portrait of motherhood in the digital age.
Starring Rosamund Pike, Inter Alia is a filmed performance of Suzie Miller’s play of the same name and follows Jessica, a judge who must wrestle with her role as a mother and her career as a servant of the law when her teenage son, Harry, is accused of sexual assault by a classmate.

The performances from the show’s cast are nothing short of phenomenal. Rosamund Pike is a showstopper as the lead, bringing out incredible emotion from the text with the subtlest facial expression or gesture. She is the foundation of the film and does not slip up for a second, even when delivering incredibly heavy monologues.

Jamie Glover and Jasper Talbot, as her husband and son respectively, are similarly good, complementing Pike’s performance nicely. Talbot is incredible, turning in a performance that is so sickeningly sinister you’ll want to turn away, but so intriguing and manipulative that you can’t help but watch.

Like Prima Facie, Inter Alia is directed by Justin Martin, who stages the script magnificently, shifting the play’s tone and structure from courtroom drama to familial drama to one-woman show at the drop of a hat. Miller’s script is also excellent, unpacking the manosphere and basking in the horror that a mother would feel if she were to discover that her son had been radicalized by that right-wing den of misogyny.
Overall, Inter Alia is a fantastic show, and is sure to be incredibly thought-provoking for all who see it.
