Our Medical Dee Why delivers better access to primary healthcare for Sydney’s Northern Beaches

Our Medical Dee Why has opened on Oaks Avenue on Monday 14th of February, with the promise of delivering exceptional healthcare for all. The first-class medical centre will be open until 10pm every day, providing greater access to primary healthcare for Sydney’s Northern Beaches – particularly during after hours and weekends.

No appointment is required to see a bulk-billing GP at the medical centre.

A co-located radiology clinic also opens today offering bulk billed x-ray, ultrasound, and CT. Our Medical Radiology is open 7 days, and walk-in patients are welcome for most imaging services.

The combination of bulk billing GPs, with a radiology clinic and treatment room, means the centre is fully equipped to handle accidents and emergencies, every day of the week.

Physio is also available and additional allied health services are expected to commence soon.

A dental clinic will open on 21st February offering ‘No Gap’ or $99 check-up and cleans as well as custom-made mouthguards, just in time for the start of the winter sports season.

Dr Philip Norrie will also be relocating to Our Medical Dee Why from his practice in Elanora Heights where he has operated in the area for over 40 years.

Dr Philip Norrie comments on the move:

“I have been passionate about providing high-quality care for families on the Northern Beaches for decades. I look forward to continuing this care in a contemporary centre, where all essential healthcare services are available to patients under one roof.”

Other doctors joining Our Medical Dee Why include Dr Zobaida Akhter, Dr Esther Bischoff, Dr Emanuel Ghorban Por and Dr Anthony Weller.

Henry Bateman, Cornerstone Health’s CEO and Managing Director commented on the opening of its eleventh medical centre,

“I grew up on the Northern Beaches and unfortunately over the last 6 years there has been a reduction in truly accessible general practice for the area – many practices privately bill, are only open weekdays or do not offer same-day consultations.  That’s why we chose to open a medical centre that bulk bills, is open extended hours, where no appointment is required and you can see your doctor of choice. Our Medical Dee Why promises to deliver a first-class, health service to the area. With general practice, allied health, dental, radiology and pathology all under one roof, it will support the local community with efficient, quality healthcare.”

This new medical centre is located at 27-33 Oaks Avenue.
