Osher Günsberg adds extra shows to meet huge demand

Osher Günsberg has been begged by fans to add more shows to the Sydney leg of his LIVE comedy show – and he’s giving the people what they want.

It’s a runaway hit! Due to popular demand, after launching at Sydney’s Factory Theatre late January, Osher Günsberg is thrilled to announce his LIVE satirical news show ‘NTNNNNN: Real Stories, Fake News’ has been extended for more shows in Sydney this month. The show has also been included as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival in April/May. The show will also open in Melbourne at Melbourne’s Comedy Festival from 30th of March at the Malthouse Theatre. Being named by the Bachelor’s Matty J as a “…buck wild hilarious news roller coaster,” the show is a razor-sharp one-hour satirical news show, where the stories are real and the news is made up. Given the 24-hour news cycle means that no two shows are ever the same, one thing will always stay true: sometimes, laughing while the world burns is an appropriate response.

One of Australia’s most recognised TV presenters, podcaster, activist and secret news nerd, Osher says “I realised early on that no network was going to ask me to host my own satirical news show, so I decided to make one anyway. “It’s news like you’ve never seen it before and won’t see again – because this show is never the same twice.

“Between clickbait, culture wars, and climate denial the news has done a lot over the last few years to lose our trust. So, let’s right this ship and sail into our future together with a fake news show on a fake TV news network where all the stories are absolutely real but the news is completely made up.

“The news is depressing enough as it is. You may as well learn what’s going wrong with the world while you have a laugh.”

Osher is joined on stage by a stunning cast of Australia’s best improvisers, including the occasional special guest reporter brave enough to moonlight on their actual network TV contracts. Some of which have been TV personality Larry Emdur, Australian Comedian Dan Ilic, Political Satirist Josh Szeps and the hilarious Matty J.

Having been a guest in Australian living rooms now for nearly two decades, Osher is one of Australia’s most recognisable media personalities. He is currently host of Channel Ten’s The Bachelors and The Masked Singer. His critically acclaimed documentary film with SBS and Lune Media, Osher Günsberg: A Matter of Life and Death, recently won the prestigious Golden Goddess prize at the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Having dived into the podcast game early on, Osher’s podcast, Better Than Yesterday, just sailed past 10 million downloads, and another venture, DadPod with Charlie Clausen, was recently nominated for best parenting podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards.

Additionally, over the years this multi-talented force to be reckoned has also worn many other hats including that of best-selling author, mental health advocate, keynote speaker and most importantly, devoted husband and father.
