They say there are few things more contagious than a child’s laughter, and now that sound is set to ring throughout Harbord Diggers as Mounties Group launches what they promise will be Australia’s most exciting children’s play centre.

‘Major Fun Freshwater’ opened its doors at the northern beaches-based venue on the 13th of March, representing the Group’s latest evolution in the journey towards providing an intergenerational approach to club design, bringing short- and long-term benefits for members and guests as well as the local community.

Mounties Group CEO, Dale Hunt said the move was the obvious next step for Australia’s foremost club group, and that they were incredibly excited to open to the public.

“Last year we asked our members what they wanted from Mounties Group in the future, and of those who took part, one in three said that they would love to have a place that was more suited to entertaining their children and grandchildren,” he said.

“They wanted something that transcended what is currently offered in the club industry, and something their children would be genuinely excited to visit. With that, Major Fun was born, and we are very confident that we have delivered on this request and then some.

“Our new play centre has been built with the sole purpose of bringing families together and, hopefully, offering the most exciting play area in the region.

“It will be a place for kids to play, share new experiences, and create memories with their parents, grandparents and siblings, and enjoy a learning experience unlike any other.

“We enlisted the help of the team behind Tabatinga Play Centres, so we are confident in the high level of safety and quality these centres will have,” he concluded.

‘Major Fun Freshwater’ will reflect its beachside positioning with an incredible underwater theme – one that will have kids’ imaginations running wild about our oceans and the animals that live within them.

The venue has a strong educational component all guided by cute characters – Max & Mala, the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate explorers who are the face of Major Fun. Max & Mala are experienced adventurers who impart their knowledge through fun facts and information and believe “it’s never too early to explore the world!”

State-of-the-art birthday and celebration packages will be offered within the centre for kids of all ages to benefit from.

Major Fun will also offer its members a chance to “drop and dine” during certain hours with kids set to be looked after by highly qualified staff while their parents and carers get to enjoy their time dining in one of the many restaurants the modern club venue has to offer.

2 hour sessions start at 9am, 11.15am, 1.30pm, 3.45pm, with the very first Drop & Dine session starting at 6pm where mums and dads can drop their kids with the comfort of being supervised whilst allowing them to enjoy the club. Tickets must be purchased via www.majorfun.com.au.

A second flagship centre will open at Mounties, Mount Pritchard on the 28th of March.

In what has been an incredibly tough year for the hospitality industry, Mounties Group has further demonstrated its unwavering commitment to local community and its profit-for-purpose business model by giving back more than $6 million during the 2019-2020 financial year and investing in a multitude of services and initiatives that really do make members lives better. The new Major Fun Play Centres are yet another investment that provide and enrich their members and communities lives for the better.
