Finally, it’s time for a movie night ‘out out’, Sunset Drive-in Cinema is returning this week!

Roll up and put your seat back, Sunset Cinema is bringing that movie magic back! The classic drive-in will be opening its gates at St Ives Showground on Thursday 28th October 2021. You can make the most of the new freedoms and revel in socialising with friends and family whilst in the comfort of your own car bubble.

There’s a spectacular stockpile of long-awaited film titles including new comedy Free Guy, animated adventure Ron’s Gone Wrong and Marvel’s latest action Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, patrons can finally once again experience movies on the big screen. In true drive-in style, the program also includes classics such as Grease & The Greatest Showman.

Inherently COVID safe and with a proven track record of operating a safe event, Sunset Drive-in is excited to welcome all patrons meeting the NSW health orders on vaccination to their events and in solidarity with the community, employing local event staff and onsite contractors who have also stepped up to get the jab.

Check out the special opening weekend of classic Halloween flicks with the delightfully wicked Hocus Pocus on Saturday night and beware of saying his name three times, there’s Beetlejuice to round off your spooky Sunday. Don’t worry that you can’t trick or treat this year, don your devil horns and vampire teeth for a chance to win prizes for the creepiest Halloween costumes on site.

Running Wednesday through to Sunday across 6 jam-packed weeks, hungry movie lovers can savour the spring evenings with delicious fare from Caminito’s food truck serving their mouth-watering burgers. To satisfy your sweet tooth try the scrumptious signature loaded churros from Bar Coco. You can also stock up all your fave movie snacks including Sunset’s famous freshly popped popcorn.

Celebrating the end of sober October, we have the best non-alcoholic brews from Big Drop brewing with their refreshing range of alcohol-free craft beers. Look out for the chance to get your lips around some full-flavoured samples with tastings on-site most Fridays.

Tickets start at $45.00 (plus booking fee) and gates open at 6:30 pm with the movie starting at last light around 8:30 pm. The full program is up on the website now so try not to deliberate for too long, this popular event sold out most sessions last year and tickets are expected to be snapped up fast!
