Fight to achieve $3 Million to fund cancer research: Fight on the Beaches announced 10th Anniversary ‘Christmas in July’ Gala Ball Sponsored by Belle Property

Fight on the Beaches – the Northern Beaches based fundraising group that has raised $2.78 million for Australian cancer research to date – will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with the return of its ‘Fight on the Beaches Christmas in July Gala Ball’ on Friday July 26th at Miramare Gardens in Terrey Hills.

Over 500 guests will don their finest black-tie gear, indulge in fine food and wine and unite in a festive atmosphere to celebrate a decade of unwavering commitment to funding cancer research and strive towards exceeding the $3 million dollar fundraising mark. With live entertainment by the electrifying Jellybean Jam, celebratory guest emcee and a host of prizes up for grabs under the tree and in the silent and live auction, the event promises to be a highlight of the 2024 Northern Beaches social calendar.

Meghann Parker, CEO, Fight on the Beaches and Chair, Fight for a Cure, comments;

“We’re thrilled to bring back our biggest fundraising event of the year as we celebrate 10 years of incredible support from the local Northern Beaches community in the fight against cancer. We invite our community to join us for an unforgettable evening of celebration and support.”

“Fight on the Beaches is doing everything we can to make a difference. Thanks to gracious donations, volunteers, and sponsors, we’re able to fund another year’s research as well as vital funding for a cancer care nurse at the Northern Beaches Hospital to support patients undergoing cancer treatment.”

Beyond the festivities, the gala will feature moving personal stories, providing a poignant reminder of the impact of cancer and the importance of ongoing research efforts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to honour loved ones affected by cancer through the ‘Dedication Wall,’ fostering a sense of community and support.

Since its inception, Fight on the Beaches has made significant strides in supporting cancer research, prevention, early detection, and care. Collectively the group, operating under Fight for a Cure not-for-profit entity, has funded 13 research projects, established six cancer screening clinics, and co-funded a clinical trials administrator at the Northern Beaches Hospital.
