Romantic Classics with the Linden Quartet
The Linden Quartet is delighted to be performing again for Wyvern Music Forestville.
The concert, Romantic Classics – Schumann with a dash of Mozart and Mahler, will feature three chamber music gems – the sunny and charming Schumann Piano Quartet, Mahler’s only chamber work, his youthful Piano Quartet and Mozart’s extraordinary Piano Trio in E.
Winston Churchill Fellow, concert pianist, artistic director and music educator Grace Kim, joins forces with three other highly regarded Sydney musicians, violinist Marina Marsden, violist Justine Marsden and cellist, Kristy Conrau.
Grace believes that quality live music should be accessible to everyone with a desire to hear it. Her Sensory Concerts and Mountain Concerts series ensure that it does. As a concerto soloist, Grace has performed with major symphony orchestras of Australasia, Belgium, Turkey, Russia and the Ukraine. She remains one of the most respected musicians in Australia, able to attract internationally-recognised peers to perform at her Mountain Concerts and Sensory Concerts series.
Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) colleagues, Marina Marsden, Justine Marsden and Kristy Conrau share Grace’s love of chamber music and both perform regularly in the SSO’s Sydney Opera House Utzon Room series.
Marina is also a Winston Churchill Fellow and together with her sister, Justine, founded the Linden String Trio and recorded several CDs of Australian chamber music.
Kristy, a former Sydney Symphony Fellow, enjoyed international success as a chamber music player before joining the SSO’s cello section.
