French Market

This year will be the 16th edition of the French Market; after two years of cancellation.

From a small local school party attended by the local community to an iconic event welcoming nearly 10,000 visitors at the last edition, the French Market is now recognised as the French cultural celebration bringing people together from all over Sydney and beyond; one of the biggest French cultural highlights in New South Wales

A voyage to France.

Visiting the French Market at Killarney Heights is like going on a trip around France.

Children can spend their day going back and forth between crepes and waffles, a myriad of delicacies on offer and a dozen of rides whilst the parents can sample fine regional food products from the four corners of France.

All tastes & All budgets From French culinary specialities to clothing or arts, the French Market 2022 will welcome more than 50 professional merchants.

Visitors will find clothes, shoes and accessories including the famous ‘marinières’, ‘cirés bretons’, the French ‘espadrilles’ or any sort of berets and bags.

Just before the end of the year, it is a great opportunity to buy exceptional gifts for family and friends such as homemade lampshades, candlesticks, ceramics, jewellery or original books.

Visitors will also explore fine food delicacies including foie gras, duck confit, truffle products, cheese, saucissons, nougat or macaroons.

Fun and Music Visitors will also enjoy – seating on the grass or at a table eating charcuterie & ‘baguette’, croque monsieur, ‘niçoise’ salad, madeleines or crepes – the ‘guinguette’ atmosphere with the greatest classics of French music.

Finally, the French Market is also – and above all – a big party for the children with a dozen of different games, fairs or rides including dodgem cars, bouncing castles and slides.
