Festival of Flowers
TALKS & TASTINGS, WORKSHOPS & ARTISAN MARKET
Outdoor garden event with flower arranging, crafting & flower food!
Eden Gardens is throwing a one day only festival to celebrate all things floral! “We want to immerse you in flowers with everything from flower focused cosmetics to crafts that are blooming wonderful” says curator Meredith Kirton. “We will also have special expert talks on roses, lavender and creating flower and herbal tea gardens.”
The Festival of Flowers is embracing Sydney Craft Week with sessions on fibre flowers, eco dyeing with flowers, and a wreath making workshop. There will be flowers everywhere live music served up by Tom Fuble and the Gardens Restaurant and Terrace Bar is celebrating too with a cornucopia of delights on offer.
As part of Eden Unearthed: Art in the Gardens, you can also join Meredith for a sneak peak of the installations going into the next exhibition, due to launch on November 1, and have a selfie in a giant Thankyou! Bunch of flowers 3m tall by textile artist Alison Thompson.
The program includes:

Adults can make their own flower wreath or create a felted flower. We also have natural dyeing workshop, cyanotype flower printing, creating dyes and inks from the garden workshop, bubbles and blooms workshop, collage with gum leaf workshops and crochet and/or sew workshop.
