FACEBOOK LIVE: Jacqui Scruby for the Mums of the Northern Beaches
In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be voting in the NSW State Election. For the first time in a long time, voters on the Northern Beaches will have an option that goes beyond the major parties: they’ll be able to vote for a community-backed independent.
Jacqui Scruby is a local mum, former small business owner, and environmental lawyer who is running in the state electorate of Pittwater, which goes from North Narrabeen up to Palm Beach and out to Terrey Hills.
She’s running to protect beautiful Pittwater, which involves working hard to prevent our beaches from offshore oil and gas mining, stopping inappropriate development, and saving our native forests. She’s also pushing for lower power prices, and will make sure both major parties are managing the economy responsibly as cost of living pressures bite.
Independents above all else hold the major parties to account, which is why integrity is Jacqui’s third key policy: she will look to stop the ‘jobs for mates’ culture and pork-barrelling so trust and integrity can be restored in state politics.
Join Jacqui Scruby and host Amelia Phillips at 8.00pm on Wednesday, 22 March – just days out from the election – to hear a local mum’s plans to give our community a voice in state politics.
