Climate Cafe Manly

The community is invited to come together and engage in meaningful discussions about climate change, sharing personal values and insights on this critical issue. March’s meetings will draw inspiration from Hannah Ritchie’s “Not the End of the World,” encouraging a dialogue infused with optimism and science-based perspectives.

Participants are simply asked to bring a seating option, a water bottle, and appropriate weather protection to ensure comfort during the outdoor gatherings.

These monthly meet-ups aim to foster a supportive environment for sharing and addressing climate-related anxieties and feelings of helplessness. Additionally, some gatherings will take place in local cafes, offering a cozy backdrop for conversation.

The initiative welcomes everyone interested in:

• Cultivating positive interactions with the environment
• Building a sense of community and collaborative spirit
• Motivating collective efforts towards a sustainable and resilient future
• Facilitating open dialogues, knowledge exchange, discussing local initiatives, and brainstorming solutions for climate challenges
• Engaging in discussions about climate-focused books and podcasts

This effort is spearheaded by two residents of Manly and leverages resources from Force of Nature to enrich the discussions.
