I’ll be honest- when my son picked up Oh No! by James Foley, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But within minutes we were both in stitches and I totally get the hype! James Foley has a brilliant knack for humour that lands perfectly with kids while still keeping the adults entertained, which as any mum knows, is worth its weight in gold.
The illustrations are expressive and full of personality, exactly the kind of book that makes reading feel like an event rather than a chore. Oh No! is SO funny like actually funny, not just pretend funny for kids. The pictures are the best part because they make everything even more hilarious. I kept showing Mum the pages because I couldn’t stop giggling. James Foley is a legend. If you haven’t read it yet you need to because it’s so good. I want to read all his other books now!
