As October is Mental Health Month it is important to be aware that more than 75 per cent of mental health issues develop before a person turns 25 and half of all mental health conditions in adulthood emerge by the age of 14.

headspace Brookvale provides tailored and holistic mental health support to 12 ? 25 years of age. With a focus on early intervention and prevention we work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives.
We support young people who need help with their mental health, physical & sexual health, alcohol and other drugs and work and study support.
Accessing our service is easy, you or the young person can call us and speak to our intake worker who will be able to provide you will the most appropriate options for support and treatment.? We have a GP and private mental health practitioners which the young person can see under Medicare / Better Access Scheme.
At the heart of our services is ensuring we meet the evolving and unique needs of young people and those who support them. Therefore, young people are at the centre of everything we do and they play an active role in planning, designing, developing and evaluating our services and programs.
