A diet rich in magnesium

For many years the benefits of magnesium have been touted by health experts. A panacea for a range of ailments, magnesium can be found in a variety of foods such as dark leafy green vegetables, legumes, nuts, oats, avocado and dark chocolate! But did you know even if you are eating magnesium rich, chances are you’re only absorbing 30-40% of your recommended daily intake?

Studies from both Europe and the USA have found that more than half of the population aren’t getting adequate amounts of this nutrient. By incorporating a magnesium supplement into your diet half an hour before bed, you could be well on your way to feeling like the old you. Magnesium if a great supplement that can help you to reduce stress and sleep longer.

Sip on INTU Sleep & Skin Renewal

Having a pre- bed ritual can be a great way of acknowledging to your body and mind that it is time to sleep. Our pre- bed ritual before we started out brand, INTU WELLNESS was to always sip on powdered magnesium and water before bed as we found that magnesium would help us get a more restful night sleep for the reasons mentioned above. The idea behind the INTU however, was that we wanted a powder that was an all-in-one as we kept forgetting to take anything else during the day.

INTU Sleep and Skin Renewal is designed to help prepare your body for sleep by relaxing and soothing the nervous system with magnesium as we mentioned before. It also includes a few key ingredients including astaxanthin which is a potent antioxidant that is 65 x stronger than Vitamin C.

While getting a good night sleep is the key to feeling and looking your best, we know that as a mum you will be woken up through the night so we have included additional ingredients that will also help.

Listen to your body

While we have created a product that specifically speaks to us and resolves the needs and desires that we have, the truth is that everyone is different. What is convenient and what works for one person may not be the best option for another. We encourage everyone to listen to their body and pay attention to how they feel about something in order to make decisions when it comes to their own health and wellbeing.

There are a million things out there in the health and beauty space that will work, but what suits you, your needs, and your lifestyle? Additionally, when you are trying something new, pay attention to how you feel when you take it as that will be a good way to teach yourself to get back in-tune with yourself.

Reintroduce exercise into your daily routine

Be sure to check with your doctor before you head off to the gym or start strenuous cardio, but there’s nothing wrong with a gentle walk. The fresh air and sunshine will do wonders for your mood and is a natural sleep aid. You can also pack up the stroller and take bubs or your toddler with you.

Make plans with friends

It can be tough trying to fit being social into your schedule when there is a new bub in tow, however an outing at the park, a walk with friends and the pram, anything that allows you to get that social interaction and allows you to be yourself is so important for your wellness and helping you get back in tune with you
