A great way to boost your motivation could be to participate in active charities this September, to help raise funds and stay fit – here are 5 active charities to support this month:

STEPtember Challenge

Step One and STEPtember have teamed up again to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Challenge yourself, colleagues, family, and your friends to 10,000 steps a day this September. Step One has released a limited-edition design for the challenge. For every STEPtember pair sold, they will donate $5 to Cerebral Palsy Alliance – a ground-breaking, global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy services and support.

UNSW PGC Lifeline Walk

Join UNSW on the Malabar Headlands Walk to pay tribute to those who sadly lost ther ives to suicide and to remind one another that we are never alone. They will walk together as a group from Maroubra beach. Lifeline is a non-profit organisation offering free, 247 telephone crisis support throughout Australia. Their volunteer crisis supporters deliver suicide prevention, mental health assistance, and emotional support through phone calls, in-person interactions, and online services.

Variety Spin 4 Kids

Challenge yourself and you teammates to make a difference for kids in need! Variety Spin 4 Kids is an exhilarating 5-hour team event on stationary spin bikes. With the dynamic energy of our spin instructors and the engaging MC Mike Wilkins, you’ll be motivated to keep pedalling all day long! Join them for an action-packed, high-energy charity spin event focused on fun, fitness, and pedalling toward a brighter future for children in need. Variety Spin 4 Kids combines fitness, fun, and community support in a unique way. It’s your opportunity to stay healthy, contribute to a great cause, and create unforgettable memories with friends and colleagues!

Ethos ’50 for $50′ Charity Event

This event is for female athletes wanting to test their performance using elite data, to further help their training. At ETHOS, they invest in performance technology and training methods for some of the best athletes in Australia. They aim to provide female athletes with access to this data so they can more effectively plan their own training during the Off-Season. For 1/6th of the usual price, they are making high quality testing data available, with all proceeds going to ‘Rize Up’, a charitable organisation that supports families impacted by domestic violence on their journey from violence to safety.

Beachside Dash

The Beachside Dash, founded in 2008 by SSMRF, was created to generate funds for medical research in local hospitals. More than just a fun run, the Dash significantly contributes to raising awareness and essential funds to support research in these hospitals, benefiting the researchers, doctors, and healthcare professionals who serve the community daily. A great way to spend the day by the beach and help raise funds for local hospitals.
