In 2024, I’m looking forward to doing more journaling as a way to start the day with clarity and gratitude. First, I either set a timer for 3 minutes or commit to filling three pages, then I just free-write. Sometimes it can feel like you have nothing to say, but once you put pen to paper and just start writing, you’ll be surprised what comes forth! It’s one of the most clarifying practices I know of. It’s a way to cut out the noise from the world around us and tune back into our own inner guidance system and build self-trust and courage. Next, I write down three things I’m grateful for. Finally, I write an intention for the day or week ahead – either a short phrase or just a single word to light the way and connect me with how I want to feel.
