Northern Beaches will receive nearly a million and a half dollars to boost road and community projects. This will support local business, jobs, community groups, and the local economy struggling under the effect of COVID19.
Jason Falinski, Federal Member of Mackellar, said the new funding is based on the successful Roads to Recovery program and will enable the local council to deliver priority projects with a focus on upgrades and maintenance to local roads and community infrastructure.
Project in Brief:
- Under the Financial Assistance Grant program, the Northern Beaches Council will receive $1,418,332
- Guidelines for the program will be provided directly to local governments by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications
- Includes: bridges, bike lanes, footpaths, gutters, roads, local amenities
