Polystyrene drop-off collection day
Residents are encouraged to participate in the recycling initiative by bringing their rigid pieces of 100% clean, white, and dry expanded polystyrene (EPS) used in packaging appliances and electronics to the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre on the designated collection day, free of charge.
Please note that only domestic quantities, equivalent to the volume of the green vegetation bin (240L), will be accepted. It is essential that the polystyrene is free from contamination, meaning it should not have dirt, soil, tape, concrete, food, labels, plastic cardboard, ink printing, or bean bag beads, ensuring the material’s recyclability.
Residents can identify EPS by its ability to snap when bent. If the polystyrene can be bent without snapping, it is not suitable for recycling in this initiative.
