NAIDOC Week 2022

Participate in a range of cultural activities to celebrate NAIDOC week. The day will include music sung in traditional Aboriginal language from Michael Birk, dance workshops for kids and adults to take part in, and a bushtucker workshop by Northern Beaches based Aboriginal owned business Bush to Bowl. Bush to Bowl aims to create spaces where families and community members can engage with Australia’s native plants and traditional Aboriginal knowledge and culture. They hope to help other learn to identify a range of traditional bushtucker plants used by Aboriginal peoples and how to use these plants to prepare delicious bushfoods. Drop in and take part in any or all of the workshops and activities on the day. Open to all ages. In the event of wet weather this event will be held at Avalon Recreation Centre.
