Explore the galleries, sing and dance in interactive tours with costumed guides. Enjoy creative free play, craft, games and story time in our themed activity area.

To ensure safe distancing our tours have been reduced to half the usual capacity and additional hygeine measures are in place.

Ages: 2–5 + carers

January Theme: Silly Sea Creatures

Explore amazing creatures that live under the sea through movement, songs and storytime in a fun and interactive learning program especially designed for toddlers. Afterwards head to the activity space for crafts and messy play.

February Theme: Drip Drop Splash

Pack your bags for an imaginative journey up, off and away, overseas in a special character tour. Explore different cultures and places from across the seas. Sing songs, dance and enjoy storytime and creative crafts- make a flower lei, a paper lantern or a puppet to take home.

March Theme: Pirates Ahoy

Let’s follow the treasure map around the museum to find the secret treasure cave. Learn how to sing, dance and scrub the deck like a pirate. Then you can decorate your own pirate hat or parrot puppet to take home and enjoy some special pirate science experiments.

Times: 

Session 1: 10.30am–11.15 am

Session 2: 11.30am–12.15 pm

Meet: in the museum foyer 10 minutes prior to your tour

Please note if you wish to cancel your tickets after purchase for health and safety reasons, the museum will provide flexibility to re-book for a future event.

However should the museum cancel the event you will be entitled to a full refund.
