Gone Fishing @ Northern Beaches: Rock Fishing Safety & Skills Day
Interested in learning new rock fishing skills? Want to learn how to keep yourself safe while fishing on our coastlines? Interested in learning expert rock fishing insights about rock platforms at Dee Why? Would you like to take home your very own Hobie lifejacket for free?
Join this fun and informative day of workshops around rock fishing.
Bring a friend, bring your family or come by yourself and make some new friends!
In these sessions experts including experienced lifeguards, lifesavers, and local rock fisherman will bring you key knowledge on what you can do to keep yourself safe while fishing.
Participants to this day must be 18 years or over but we will have separate fun family activities for those who would like to bring their families or children with them. Children 12 and over are welcome to join their parents around the workshops to ensure they also learn about rock fishing safety.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive a free Hobie Lifejacket, valued at $169.99 retail, participants will need to attend and complete ALL the activities across the day along with a survey at the end of the day. At the end of the day, participants who complete the whole day will be fitted with a lifejacket that they can take home for free.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Our aim is to educate and reach as many people we can throughout NSW on rock fishing safety, as such we can only accept registrations from those who have not previously attended one of our Gone Fishing events. If you have attended an event with us you will receive updates from us on other events and activities.
