Don’t sit on the Sidelines – join in the fun afloat

On Australia Day, Sydney Harbour transforms from a bustling working port to a stage full of fun events for all to enjoy.

The Harbour Parade sees boaties deck out their vessels and parade through the waves in a dazzling display of national spirit. Vessels of all shapes and sizes are invited to dress their decks, showing off their wacky, patriotic, fancy dressed or elegantly decorated boats.

Boats of all shapes and sizes are welcome to join the flotilla and prizes will be awarded to the winning vessel in each of the following categories:

• Budgie Smuggler Award — Best Small Vessel
• Best in the Biz Award — Best Commercial Vessel
• Hello Sailor! Award — Best Newcomer
• The Captain’s Choice Award — Best Dressed
• Going Overboard Award — Most Imaginative
