Formerly know as the AFI Awards, the AACTA Awards honour outstanding work in Australia?s Cinema and Television industries. The awards have honoured screen excellence in Australia for over 60 years.

Held annually in Sydney in recognition and celebration of Australia’s highest achievements in film and television, the AACTA Awards present over 55 awards across two major ceremonies.

The AACTA Awards are proudly supported by the New South Wales Government, through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

This year the ACCTA Awards were held on Wednesday 4th of December, 2019.

Whilst some celebrities chose to head straight into the auditorium, others spent some time chatting with us before they went off to take their seats.

Shebie King was one of the first to stop by and say hi. Accompanying the film crew for Home and Away, she and Veronica had plenty to catch up on after they worked together on two movies previously.

The lovely Angela McDonald, script writer for ?Doctor Doctor?.

The gracious and effervescent Julia Morris looked very comfortable in her Tuxedo and Karl Lagerfeld handbag which her husband bought for her in Paris.

Danielle Cormack, Actress from Secret City.

Doris Younane definitely did justice to this $60,000 gown.

Heather Mitchell in her vintage gown looked every bit the classy actress she is.

The Stenmark Twins, Zac and Jordan, over from New York for the awards. They are looking forward to spending Christmas with their family here in Sydney.

Whilst My Kitchen Rules judge, Manu Feildel, was busy being interviewed, we got to chat with his beautiful wife and mother of their children. Whilst others we spoke to on the carpet took up to 7 hours to get ready, the stunningly beautiful Clarissa was ?out of her mum clothes? and ready in 45 minutes. Our kind of girl!

The Bachelor Australia presenter, Osher Gunsberg, shared his excitement about attending the awards which was clear by his suit!

Also spotted on the carpet were;

Teagan Martin who was Miss Universe Australia in 2014.

Father Bob Maguire.
