Forte School of Music Dee Why

Music lessons: the gift you can give your child that lasts forever! Give your child every opportunity through the benefits of learning music. Unlike music lessons you had when you were a kid, Forte lessons are specially designed to enhance students’ learning and hone skills which transfer to school as well. Most of all, learning music is fun at Forte!!

Forte School of Music offers Early Childhood music programs (6 months – 4 years), class or private lessons in piano/keyboard and guitar, and private lessons in drums, saxophone, violin and vocals. They have lessons for students of all ages and abilities.

Here are just some benefits of learning a musical instrument or voice:

  • Improved academic skills through learning how to move and listen to music, as well as reading and playing. Scientific studies have shown learning music is one of the few cognitive activities that simultaneously stimulates and uses the entire brain.
  • Fosters development of dexterity and coordination of fine and gross motor skills when playing an instrument and partaking in Jungle Music classes for littlies.
  • Personal attributes like patience, discipline, commitment and focus develop through music learning and practice.
  • Performing for an audience teaches children resilience and boosts self-confidence.

Students and families enjoy a variety of fun activities throughout the year including student performances at the Forte Festival in Term 3. Exams are available for students who aspire to excellence in their efforts.
