After three years caring for skin on the Northern Beaches, Sisä Skincare has opened its new flagship clinic at 48 Lawrence Street, Freshwater. It is a larger space and a fuller expression of the same nurse-led approach the clinic has built its reputation on.
Sisä was founded by Chelsea Hyett, a local Registered Nurse who still treats clients herself, alongside a team of Registered Nurses and a dermal clinician. Every treatment is delivered under medical oversight, and whatever a client comes in for, care begins the same way, with a thorough skin and medical assessment. The first person most people meet is Abi at reception, a local mum who gives everyone a warm welcome from the moment they walk in.

The assessment comes first for a reason. It lets our Registered Nurses look at skin health as a whole and match treatment to what the evidence supports and to the individual in front of them. Care is delivered under medical oversight, which matters when procedures carry genuine clinical considerations.

Much of what the clinic sees reflects local life. Years spent outdoors on the Northern Beaches, along with the natural changes skin goes through over time, tend to show up as shifts in tone, texture and sun-related pigmentation. These are among the most common reasons people come in, and they are exactly what a methodical, assessment-led approach is suited to working through.
The flagship also brings the Alma Hybrid to Freshwater, a laser platform Sisä is the only clinic on the Northern Beaches to hold. It combines ablative CO2 and non-ablative Erbium wavelengths in a single device. Because the settings are adjustable, treatment can be planned as a lighter session with less downtime or a more intensive one, tailored to the concern and to how much recovery time a person’s work and family life realistically allows. Ablative laser is a higher-risk non-surgical cosmetic procedure, so suitability is always confirmed at consultation before anything is booked.

Scar revision is another area of focus. Sisä works within a collaborative care model for post-surgical scar management, where the surgical team and the clinic support the same patient through different stages of their care. The clinic’s role sits after the surgical work is done, helping to support how a scar settles over time, underpinned by the nurse-led model, medical oversight, clinical infection control standards and clear communication back to the referring team.
The clinic also offers IV therapy administered by our Registered Nurses, as part of its broader skin and wellness services.
Whether your skin has changed with time and sun, or you are simply not sure where to start, Sisä offers a 30 minute skin consultation with a Registered Nurse for $50. It is a chance to have your skin properly assessed and to leave with a personalised plan and clear, honest information, with no pressure to proceed on the day.
Existing and new clients can book at sisaskincare.dapplecrm.com/start/book or find the clinic via their website, www.sisaskincare.com.au or on Instagram at @sisaskincare.
