Manly Library invites the community to join in and witness the showcase of young talents on stage during the upcoming Under 16s Open Mic Night.

Whether one chooses to perform or simply support local talent, the event promises a diverse array of performances from singing and music to jokes, drama, impressions, and various skills. All talents are welcome, and no prior stage experience is necessary. The only requirement is that performers must be under 16 years old.

Those interested can sign up on the night starting from 4:30pm at Manly Library. The venue boasts a small raised stage equipped with a corded microphone on a stand and an available chair for the performers. Each participant will have a maximum of 7 minutes or two songs on stage to ensure everyone has an opportunity to showcase their talent.

In fostering a safe and inclusive space, the library encourages performers to exemplify values of respect and inclusivity. The same expectations extend to the audience, which includes individuals of all ages. Parental supervision is mandatory for children attending the event, and all attendees are encouraged to be mindful and respectful during performances by refraining from talking. The library stands as a welcoming and inclusive environment for all community members.
