Here’s a simple way to clear the clutter and help the environment at the same time. Northern Beaches residents can drop off clean, white and dry expanded polystyrene (EPS) at Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre for free recycling.

If the foam snaps when you bend it, it’s likely EPS and can be recycled. Just make sure it’s free from tape, labels, dirt, food residue and other contaminants.

While you’re there, it’s the perfect opportunity to recycle other household items too, including e-waste, batteries, cardboard, metal, globes and more.
