Melbourne’s renowned midweek wine-tasting event, is expanding its horizons and heading to Sydney in March with a special focus on celebrating women in the wine industry.
Guests are invited to kickstart their Easter long weekend at Freshwater Brewing Co in Brookvale on Wednesday, March 27th, for an evening of indulgence, featuring a curated selection of small-batch wines crafted by female vintners. Attendees are encouraged to bring along friends, partners, and even their furry companions (as Freshie is a dog-friendly venue), or simply come solo and mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts.
In collaboration with Humanatix, Into The Vines is proud to support the Girls Boardrider Fraternity, a local non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and women through ocean-based activities.
Attendees can expect a diverse array of tasting experiences for just $15, with offerings from over 25 small-batch wines spanning exceptional wineries, including Empire of Dirt from Victoria and Intrepedius Wines from the Australian Capital Territory, with additional wineries to be announced soon.
Structured as a sprawling wine tour within the spacious confines of Freshwater Brewing Co, guests will have the opportunity to explore unique varietals and blends from family-owned wineries, alongside exclusive offers on take-home bottles – an experience typically reserved for regional visits or trade tastings.
The brainchild of Tracado, a drinks agency with a passion for showcasing boutique wineries, Into The Vines aims to bridge the gap between urban wine lovers and rural producers. With a successful track record of six previous events, the team is excited to extend the festivities to Sydney, spotlighting five outstanding female winemakers for enthusiasts of all levels to enjoy.
In recognition of International Women’s Day and the growing presence of women in the traditionally male-dominated wine industry, the event seeks to honor the innovation and excellence demonstrated by these talented vintners.
While the focus may be on wine, Into The Vines ensures there’s something for everyone, with Freshie Brewing Co offering a diverse selection of crisp lagers, ales, and pilsners to cater to all tastes.
Complementing the libations, Freshwater Brewing Co will tantalize taste buds with a fresh menu featuring authentic tacos, hearty burgers, and refreshing salads.
