Sydneysiders tired of winter hibernation are about to be catapulted out of their caves, with the arrival of an epic four-day music and creative arts festival at Freshwater Brewing Co. from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th of July. Wander through night markets, learn a new skill, listen to live bands for free, enjoy fresh beers and bites, and see circus acts with the kids at Brookvale’s most aesthetic brewery.
Freshie Palooza will be held as part of the Creative Open – an initiative by The Northern Beaches Council to help boost and revitalise the area’s nightlife and music scene after lengthy lockdown impacts.
For music lovers, the impressive lineup of free gigs at Freshwater Brewing Co. over the weekend includes the likes of rapper Gold Fang, neo-RnB singer Ruby Jackson, Indie-trio Loretta and Urban Roots band The Strides – to name but a few.
There will be creative workshop offerings over the weekend, with tote-bag printing on Saturday and woodworking on Sunday, as well as an artisanal Winter Night Market on Friday featuring local legends PLOW Surf Co, Atypical Aromas, BohoBabe, The Sunshine Collective and more.
Those gastronomically inclined epicureans will enjoy some seriously good food and drinks. Freshwater Brewing’s kitchen will be firing up the burners and serving an array of hearty favourites for lunch and dinner, while the bar will be pouring cocktails, beers, natural wines and non-alcoholic beverages. There will also be exclusive Palooza-themed specials on the food and drink menus – including a Palooza Pilsner and Palooza Paloma.
Additionally, the iconic Freshwater fine diner Pilu is teaming up with Brookvale’s beachiest brewery, Freshwater Brewing Co, to bring food and beer-lovers a taste of Italy over Freshie Palooza – a four-day creative arts and music festival being held at the brewery next week.
On Saturday and Sunday at Freshwater Brewing, the kitchen will be serving up the Freshie Palooza X Pilu Pig Panini and Freshie Palooza X Pilu Seada – an exclusive collaboration between the two brands in celebration of the Northern Beaches Creative Open.
Freshie Palooza isn’t just for the big kids. From 11:30 am – 2:30 pm on Sunday there will be a roving circus to keep the little ones entertained, while parents can kick back, listen to live music and enjoy a beverage and a bite. Not to mention, kids eat free on Sundays too!
