Celebrate Mother’s Day this year by supporting a new mum doing it tough. Launching on April 7th, The Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s Pumped for Life Mother’s Day Appeal supports mothers and infants requiring extra help.
One in five babies in Australia requires specialised neonatal care after birth, where access to essential medical equipment, including hospital-grade breast pumps, can play a critical role in their recovery and development.
When babies are admitted to NICU or special care, they are often separated from their mothers during treatment. In these situations, expressing breast milk becomes the primary way a mother can provide vital nutrition, support her baby’s development and maintain connection.
Hospital-grade breast pumps are relied upon daily in these units, often shared between multiple families, yet hospitals nationwide continue to report shortages. The Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s Pumped for Life Mother’s Day appeal exists to change that. Since launching in 2024, the initiative has funded almost 80 hospital-grade breast pumps for hospitals and health services across Australia.
Donate from April 7th and every dollar will go directly towards placing a pump where it’s urgently needed.
