Are you the next Australian Poetry Slam Champion? 

This September, join them at Manly Library as they host Word Travels for the Northern Beaches heat of the 2023 Australian Poetry Slam.

Turn your moments of “…Um” into MomentUm?

Calling all local poets! Bring your original poem, story, monologue or rap to the stage, with two minutes to wow the crowd. 

Ages 15 to 115 years old are welcome to perform.

Registration opens on the night from 5.30pm.

Two poets chosen by the Manly Library audience will receive a prize and head to the State Final.

• 1st place: $100 voucher
• 2nd place: $50 voucher

Poets Australia wide are competing in heats and state finals leading up to one National Final at Sydney Opera House and a prize worth $20,000, including publishing opportunities and international gigs.
