WayAhead Anxiety Support Group
These groups are led by volunteer facilitators who have been trained by WayAhead and are held once a month for one or two hours. These sessions are free to attend.
The groups provide people who have experienced anxiety or related issues with a safe and supportive space to share their day-to-day experiences and learn from each other.
Participants find that these groups create an environment where they are listened to and feel relief in knowing they are not alone. Often there are people present who have recovered from their illness or disorder and choose to attend to provide support to others.
WayAhead – Mental Health Association NSW is a state-based mental health charity that works every day to educate people on mental health and wellbeing. We link people to services and resources that improve their mental health and reach out to people with positive mental health messages with yearly initiatives like Mental Health Month.
