Singing Mamas, enhancing mums health & wellbeing
Hello, we’re inviting mums to join our singing group with a focus on mums’ health and well-being.
Attendance to this session is FREE. Yep, entirely free. We’ll share some short and easy-to-sing songs that you can take away and sing with others. This isn’t a formal choir, it’s a singing mamas group.
There’s heaps of evidence highlighting the benefits of singing for mums. We are certain that joining us to sing will be a good start to your day or week.
If you want to hear what it might all sound like, here’s a short excerpt of a song we’ve sung with other mums. Helele Mama, a South African Mbube (Lion Song). We’ll also sing pop and other genres on the day.
The FREE session takes place 9:30-10:30am, Tuesday 6 June. Light refreshments will be available.
Your children are able to join you at the group session and while the songs won’t be focused on them, they are very welcome to join in and will certainly benefit from hearing your voice. As we’re a team of music therapists, we affirm and incorporate kids vocal expression of any kind. It’s kind of our thing.
Just 10 mum places are available for this free session.
To secure your spot click this link. We will be taking photos and video so seek your permission (or not) for this on our form https://cnxfsmdf.paperform.co
So hoping you’ll join us … singing is good for your health!
