New Year’s Eve: Frenchs Forest

The 9pm New Year’s Eve family fireworks, presented by the Northern Beaches Council, will take place at Lionel Watts Reserve and Frenchs Forest Showground. Families are invited to relish the fireworks spectacle from Lionel Watts Reserve.

In order to adhere to fireworks exclusion zone requirements, restricted access will be implemented at Frenchs Forest Showground on Sunday, December 31. The Showground will be subject to the following closure schedule:

• Partial closure in the center of the Showground from 2pm to 8pm
• Full closure of the Showground for the fireworks display from 8pm

Post-fireworks, the Showground will undergo a thorough cleaning and will be reopened to the public by 6am on Monday, January 1.

To maintain a safe environment, the consumption of alcohol is prohibited at Lionel Watts Reserve between 8pm and 8am daily. It is important to note that bringing glass onto Lionel Watts Reserve is also prohibited for the comfort and safety of all attendees.
