It is the summer of 1953 and fading Broadway stars George and Charlotte Hay are performing Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac in repertory with their run-down touring company in Buffalo, New York.
Financial disaster is imminent and hysterically tangled relations within the family threaten on-stage harmony.
A chance for movie fame suddenly beckons but, in the midst of this mayhem, can they seize it?
The confusion only intensifies in this fast paced, farcical, screwball comedy with larger than life personalities that inhabit the world of theatre.
