Dreamscapes Painting & Drawing Workshop with Matt Elliott
Paint and draw your state of consciousness and/or dreams inspired by the Northern Beaches area
Workshop participants are encouraged to paint and draw their state of consciousness and/or dreams in response to the physical, historical and/or social landscape of the Northern Beaches area. The aim is to create a personal abstract dreamscape inspired by the Northern Beaches area and informed by the participants’ own thoughts and dreams, using watercolour, pastel and mixed media on paper. The workshop intends to facilitate a ‘loosening’ of gestural mark making, allowing for subconscious creativity to flow from the mind to the paintbrush.
Participants can work on the floor, wall, easel and/or at a table – whichever way they would like to work.
The workshop is fully accessible and people of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Hosted by Studio A and Artist Matt Elliott, with artist support Zachariah Fenn, the workshop will inform participants about Cerebral Palsy and how this Neurological condition (and indeed any state of consciousness) can be explored and creatively expressed through Art. (1.5 – 2.5 hour duration).
