Coastal Environment Centre Open Day
Join the Coastal Environment Centre for a fun and educational open day, including celebrating the 20th anniversary of Narrabeen Head Aquatic Reserve.
There will be plenty of fun activities and learning experiences for the whole family.
- Come and build a bee hotel to take home
- Create your own native seed balls
- Have your face painted like a native animal
- Interact with the experts on topics including native bees, bush tucker, creating wildlife-friendly gardens, composting, worm farming and keeping chickens
- Learn from a marine biologist about the importance of Narrabeen Head as an aquatic reserve and the importance of conserving its rocky shore plants, animals and habitats now and into the future
- Discover the wonderful world of insects with a hands-on interactive experience
- Hear about some of the fantastic conservation work happening in the community
- Meet some native animals and learn how to help protect them
- Talk to Council’s bushcare experts and take home a free native plant
- And much more!
