Climate Change Resilience Course

Resilience in a Changing Climate is a 6-week experiential group course to be facilitated by experienced eco-psychologists Merle Conyer and Kylie Hitchman at Relationships Australia in Dee Why.

  • Become energised by engaging with like-minded people
  • Explore your feelings about the rapid changes in our world and how to transform eco-anxiety and eco-grief into meaningful action
  • Strengthen a compassionate connection with yourself and with the natural world to combat emotional burnout
  • Develop confidence to support children and young people to retain emotional resilience for coping with the challenges of climate change
  • Feel empowered to have conversations with family, friends and others about the issue
  • Gain a toolkit of resources and strategies to make changes in your own life that will contribute to a just and regenerative future
  • Understand your role in the systemic change needed to turn things around

Develop a resilient ‘active-hope’ about the future the program is informed by theories of systemic social change, eco-psychology, mindfulness, compassion, wellness practices and ‘Work That Reconnects’. “If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear.” Joanna R.
