Christmas at Vaucluse House
Held on Sunday 12 December 2021 from 2 pm to 5 pm, this exciting family-friendly event will showcase a hand-picked selection of Sydney’s finest artisan producers, makers and small-scale retailers.
Stallholder highlights include Country Women’s Association of NSW, Beeswax Wraps Australia, Dan’s Pasta, Gelato Man, Katie Swift Cordials, Nonna’s Grocer, Outer Island, Our Festive Puds and Ziggy’s Wildfoods. This is a great opportunity to find unique food-related gifts or specialty items for your Christmas table!
You will also be able to join Sydney Living Museums curator and colonial gastronomer Dr Jacqui Newling and award-winning wild-food forager Gabriel Gutnik from Ziggy’s Wildfoods for a series of festive food demonstrations in the Vaucluse House courtyard.
Learn expert tips and tricks as Jacqui prepares a Christmas pudding and fruit mince in the traditional manner, using Mrs Beeton’s recipes from 1861.
Get inspired with Gabriel as he shares his recipe for a delicious wild mulled gin that is the perfect addition to any Christmas table.
There will also be viewings of the Christmas tree in the Vaucluse House drawing room, spot talks in the house, and kids can create a Christmas garland inspired by the Vaucluse House collection.
Make sure to bring along a picnic to enjoy on the lawn as you relax to the sounds of the Cameron Jones Trio!
