Build Your Digital Portfolio
Need to build up your digital portfolio and develop your photography skills? Join professional artist and photographer, Renate Rienmueller, in a hands-on workshop and learn how to take successful photos of your artwork even with your iPhone.
Renate is a Northern Beaches-based photomedia artist with an honours degree in photography who works as a professional artist and photographer.
The first half of the workshop will focus on how to document artworks through discussion, practical exercises and guided groupwork, covering cameras, lighting (natural and/or external), composition, scale, styling. Different documentation styles will be shared as well as discussion around the importance of having good documentation of your work as an artist. The second half of the workshop will focus on how to prepare your images for the web, email and other social platforms (eg. Instagram). Through guided discussion and practical exercises you will be shown how to resize, edit and export images for multiple purposes and platforms.
Equipment to bring:
- iPhone or camera (essential)
- tripod (if you have one)
- small artwork
- laptop (if you have one)
