Celebrate an incredible milestone with a memorable afternoon of music! Sydney Philharmonia Choirs is marking the 25th anniversary of its acclaimed young-adult ensemble VOX with World O World, a special one-off performance at the iconic White Bay Power Station on Saturday 21 November at 3pm.
Led by renowned conductor Elizabeth Scott, this anniversary concert brings together current singers and alumni for a vibrant celebration of 25 years of extraordinary music-making. Audiences will enjoy a stunning program featuring soaring contemporary choral works, including Jacob Collier’s breathtaking World O World, alongside the world premiere of Persephone as a Whistling Moth by Australian composer Dan Walker, whose music also featured in VOX’s very first concert back in 2001.
Known for its fresh sound, impressive a cappella harmonies and inspiring performances, VOX has become one of Australia’s leading young-adult choirs. The program also includes works by beloved composers Eric Whitacre and Arvo Pärt, exploring themes of community, spirituality and our connection to the world around us.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience live music in the unique setting of White Bay Power Station and celebrate the next chapter of an ensemble that has inspired generations of young singers.
